Meet the EGH Board


Jean Edelhertz, President
Advisor, US SBA SCORE
Jean advises a portfolio of entrepreneurs at SCORE and is an officer with the Act of Giving Foundation. She joined this board to support EGH’s work providing care to women in need and partnering with them to pursue individual goals. She’s inspired by EGH’s impact and by the respectful, inclusive community that EGH fosters

Patricia Ryan, Vice President
Director, Worldwide Enterprise Skills Transformation, Amazon Web Services
Patricia serves as Director, Worldwide Enterprise Skills Transformation at Amazon Web Services. A long-time Seattle resident who has recently returned to the area, Patricia was first introduced to EGH at the annual gala. Inspired by EGH’s mission and impact, Patricia joined the board to offer her ongoing support of EGH’s work to provide dignity, hope and basic services to the most vulnerable members of our community.

Jillian Jones, Treasurer
VP, Financial Planning & Analysis at Symetra
Jillian is a finance executive with over 15 years’ experience analyzing, communicating, and forecasting financial results. Through Symetra’s community engagement program, she learned about EGH and was inspired by the stories of the women that it has served. Jillian joined the Board of Directors at EGH because she believes that its values of Respect, Inclusion, Community, and Empathy are critical to making a positive impact on people’s lives.

Jessica Cupo, Secretary
Jessica works in data and analytics at FTI Consulting, primarily supporting financial institutions and other large corporations during litigation and regulatory inquiries. Jessica joined the board to support her local community and promote the success of EGH.

Andy Flatt-Kuntze
Pastor, University Lutheran Church
Andy Flatt-Kuntze is the pastor of University Lutheran Church. He is passionate about making known God’s love for all people, especially those who are most vulnerable. Pastor Andy is an agent for justice, both in the church and in the world. While activism and advocating are incredibly important to him, Pastor Andy also listens deeply and with great empathy. Pastor Andy believes storytelling can change the world.

Erica Marley
Microsoft Corporation
Erica has led global teams in her 24-year tenure with Microsoft. She has a career of transforming the customer experience while maintaining a track record of building leaders. Her passion lies with helping clients through empowerment to achieve more. Erica has been involved in global organizations that assist at-risk females internationally. She joined the EGH Board to serve locally and improve the lives of vulnerable women in need.

Albert Komba
Albert is a public health physician and a project management specialist with over 15 years of experience in leadership, management, and technical oversight of both community and hospital-based HIV/AIDS and sexual reproductive health programs ranging from mid-sized to highly complex ones, focused on providing integrated, comprehensive, and high-quality combination interventions (biomedical, structural and behavioral) targeting vulnerable and marginalized populations.

Richa Thapliyal
VP of Production Research and Operations
Richa is the VP of Production Research and Operations at Rebellyous Foods where she leads strategy and operations for production, scale-up, and equipment research. She launched Living Free, India’s first national grassroots vegan awareness campaign. For the past two decades, Richa has been associated with organizations working on various issues such as animal welfare, disability and mental health. She lives in Seattle, Washington and brings a unique mix of experience in grass-roots activism, business operations, and people management. Richa joined the Board of Directors at EGH to help women in vulnerable situations.

Glen Garrison
Attorney, Keller Rohrback, LLC
Glen is a business attorney, advising corporations, financial institutions, and individuals who have generally been fortunate in life. Glen joined the Board of Directors at EGH because he wanted to have a positive impact on people’s lives. His concern and empathy for the broken dreams of women who are homeless has motivated him to encourage all of us to help in any way we can.

Marie-Claude Milot
Darigold - Human Resources
As Head of People, Culture & Engagement Excellence at Darigold Marie-Claude was recently the recipient of the Puget Sound Business Journal‘s Women of Influence Awards, which honors the top female business and civic leaders. She joined EGH’s Board of Directors as she likes to contribute to causes that positively impact people in her community.

Adam Gehrke
TV & Radio Broadcaster
Adam has been the voice and face of the morning traffic anchor on KCPQ 13 and KNKX-FM for almost two decades and moonlights as a film critic. His background in radio engineering and IT lets him combine the artistic and scientific parts of his brain. He is looking to make a bigger positive impact in the community.

Lonness Vallena
Lonness Valenna is an advocate for our diverse clients as well as a breath of fresh air, a fairy godmother, a past client who has experienced homelessness, and EGH helped her overcome homelessness. She has been a volunteer in the EGH kitchen, and she wants to give back the enormous kindness she was shown by staff while she was a guest of EGH. Lonness has been a board member of the Gender Alliance of South Sound and was a founding board member of the Gender Justice League.

Michelle Gregoire
King County Prosecutor
Michelle Gregoire is a deputy prosecuting attorney with King County where she tries cases ranging from child abuse to murder. Michelle joined the Board of EGH to help the homeless population of greater Seattle, including homeless women who all to often are the victims of the crimes she prosecutes.

Margoan Hunter
Virginia Mason Franciscan Health
Margoan is a member of the Clinical Informatics team of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health and a Certified Scrum Master. Working with Application Engineers she applies Agile Methodology to electronic health record enhancement work.
As a 40 year member of University Lutheran Church, Margoan joined the EGH board to support the work of this vital ministry.

Lisa Huang-North
Microsoft
Lisa is a senior cybersecurity product leader with Microsoft and the global board engagement chair with the Asians at Microsoft employee resource group. She also contributes experience in social media marketing, fundraising campaigns, and community organizing. Lisa joined EGH’s board to be part of a community mobilizing to break cycles of poverty and help alleviate homelessness.

Laura Meyer
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona
Laura is Special Counsel for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona where she advises the business in a broad range of matters including regulatory compliance, employment law, data privacy and security, business transactions, and private foundations. She has a passion for tackling complex problems and developing innovative solutions. She joined the EGH Board to make a deeper and more impactful contribution towards supporting women experiencing homelessness, trauma or economic insecurity.

Katie Hawley
Hudson Bay Insulation Company
Katie Hawley is a Certified Public Accountant and the Chief Financial Officer of Hudson Bay Insulation Company. Katie joined the EGH board to be a part of building a support network in the community assisting homeless women in transforming their lives. She is continually inspired by stories told about the EGH community.

Anne Thai
Finance Director, Microsoft
Anne serves as a Finance Director at Microsoft advocating and driving compliance across commercial and consumer products. She also has a background in accounting and holds a Certified Public Accountant license. Anne joined the EGH board to give back to the community and improve/enrich the lives of all individuals that walk into EGH.
