A Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) is a tax-advantaged charitable giving account. Any person, couple or family can open a DAF account at more than 1,000 providers around the country.
DAFs have become popular in recent years because they increase giving capacity and streamlining philanthropy.
Why donate to EGH through your DAF?
Tax savings and no transaction fees mean more dollars for charitable impact.
Ease of use! You can manage all of your charitable donations centrally. Your DAF sponsor will take care of all record keeping and disbursements.
To donate, contact your Donor-Advised Fund sponsor directly and request a distribution.

Don't have a Donor-Advised Fund yet?
It’s easy to get started!
- Choose a DAF provider such as Fidelity Charitable, Vanguard Charitable, Schwab Charitable, or a local community foundation.
- Complete the organization’s online onboarding process, where you’ll provide your personal and financial information to establish your account.
- Make a contribution of cash, appreciated securities, or other assets to your DAF. You will receive an immediate tax deduction for the full amount, subject to IRS limits.
- Start Giving! Once your DAF account is funded, you can log in any time to recommend gifts to qualified charities – like Elizabeth Gregory Home!
