#GivingTuesday was founded in response to the promotion of over-consumption driven by Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Each year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, members of the community are instead invited to invest dollars towards the greater good by supporting nonprofits such as Elizabeth Gregory Home.
This year, Elizabeth Gregory Home has an unprecedented #GivingTuesday opportunity: a donor has offered a $25,000 matching challenge to raise the funding needed to open our Day Center on Sundays.
Why Sundays? After polling our participants, Sunday was identified as the most difficult day to access resources that offer women who are homeless safety, warmth, food and showers. In response to this critical need, we decided to add Sunday as our 6th day of service provision.
Every single dollar you give on November 27th will be matched up to $25,000!
In fact, your gift will directly impact our ability to open the EGH Day Center’s doors on Sunday’s beginning in January!
Please consider making a tax-deductible gift to Elizabeth Gregory Home on November 27th for #GivingTuesday.
Individually, we can have an impact, but together we can transform lives.
