Elizabeth Gregory Home is seeking motivated women to participate in our Transitional Housing Program. Our beautiful three-story home is clean, safe, secure, and conveniently located near public transportation. Successful applicants are self-motivated, employed, and willing to work cooperatively in maintaining the house. This unique program provides employment assistance, resources, and referrals, charges a low program fee, and incentivizes savings with a 5% bonus!
Location: Our house is in a north University District neighborhood close to a bus line, food bank, employment, shopping, and only half a mile from the Elizabeth Gregory Home Day Shelter.
Street Parking: Limited street parking is available for participants who own a vehicle.
Move-In Ready: The house is fully furnished, including two televisions in the common rooms, a fully stocked kitchen with cookware and dishware, and shared bathrooms. You will receive new bedding, towels, and a private bedroom with a locking door.
Computer, Internet, Utilities Included: A shared desktop computer is available for use in the house. The cost of internet and all utilities are included in your program fee.
Substance Free: Alcohol and drugs are not permitted at the house, and all participants commit to remaining substance-free while on the transitional house property. All participants in substance use recovery before entering the EGH Transitional Housing Program commit to maintaining their sobriety while participating.
No Curfew: We know work schedules can fluctuate, so while we stay connected with you about your work schedule, our program has no specific curfew.
Finances: Not only are our program fees affordable, but we also support you in building financial stability by providing a 5% savings bonus to be used when you transition into your next living situation.
Stay up to 12 Months: We know it can take time to find and maintain employment. By providing housing for up to 12 months, you will have the time to establish steady employment and build your savings.
Support: While living in the house, you will participate in regularly scheduled case management.
