Seeking Women for EGH’s Transitional Housing Program
Elizabeth Gregory Home is seeking motivated women to move into our Transitional House. Our seven bedroom home is clean, safe and secure. Successful applicants are self-motivated, ready to find and sustain employment, and willing to work cooperatively in the upkeep of the home. EGH’s unique program provides employment assistance, resources & referrals, charges a low room rental and incentivizes savings with a 5% bonus!
Benefits of our Program
Location: Our home is located in a safe neighborhood in north Seattle on a bus line and only two miles from Elizabeth Gregory Home’s Day Center.
Street Parking: Street parking is available for residents who own a vehicle.
Move-In Ready: The house is fully furnished, including two televisions in the common rooms. You will receive new sheets and a comforter to keep upon arrival.
Computer, Internet, Utilities Included: A shared desktop computer is available for use in the home. The cost of internet and all utilities are included in your rental charge.
Substance Free: All residents have had a minimum of three months abstinence from alcohol or other substances prior to entering the program and must remain substance free.
No Curfew: We know clients need flexible schedules for employment. While we will keep in touch with you about your regular schedule, our housing has no specific curfew.
Finances: Not only is our housing affordable, based on the current area median income, but we also support you in building financial stability by providing a 5% savings bonus to be used when you transition into your next living situation.
Stay up to Two Years: We know it can take time to find and maintain employment. By providing housing for up to two years, we’ll make sure you have a steady job with some savings so you are ready to move, once permanent housing is found.
Support: While living in the home, you will connect frequently with EGH staff who will provide support, education, and referrals.
